Beavis and Butthead Revival Slated
Many years ago MTV debuted a cartoon that was no outside the normal boundaries of taste that they received massive complaints. The cartoon, Beavis and Butthead, featured two teenage boys that took things to the next level. Obsessed with sex, music and all things bad, the boys won the hearts of many teens and young people in the US. The creator, Mike Judge, said that he loved making Beavis and Butthead and reveled in the criticism from the show.
Judge would go on to create the primetime hit King of the Hill and would eventually abandon Beavis and Butthead. However, MTV has announced that now that King of the Kill has been cancelled they will bring back the famed Beavis and Butthead for a new set of shows to be created by Judge.
This has sparked new interest in the long defunct program and may be the way that MTV can once again get back to airing music videos. For many years MTV has crept away from their original format of music videos and entered into the original programming game like so many other networks.
Dozens of celebrities are already vying for their chance to appear in the cartoon at some point. Judge is well known for tapping the big names to appear in his shows. Several of the hottest A-list celebs appeared in the hit film Beavis and Butthead Do America, the big screen debut of the sex obsessed teenagers that made millions for Judge and MTV.
