Christina Aguilera Botches Star Spangled Banner

For many the Super Bowl brought back memories of Rosanne Barr and her infamous and irreverent portrayal of the Star Spangled Banner when the comedy queen screeched the lyrics and then famously grabbed her crouch. While this was not the case when Christina Aguilera belted out the tune, she did make a few mistakes on a stage where she will likely be criticized for years to come.

Aguilera was set to sing the Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl last night and was doing a fine job until she decided to repeat one line of the song and then completely skip another. The result was a massive explosion of protests inside the stadium as well as on the internet. Within seconds of the tune being aired the internet was alive with people calling the famed singer out for her mistakes.

Of course Aguilera was not the only person making some flubs last night. The Black Eyed Peas were also booed for their rendition of several songs in which they decided to change the lyrics. This is one of the first times that the Half Time show during the Super Bowl has ever received boos from the crowd.

The big hit during the game was the commercials as always. With the advertising price this year higher than any other year the companies were looking to make the most of things. As such they managed to bring about some big hits and the reviews are top of the line for the commercials at this point.
