Verizon iPhone Sales Strong
The new hit for Verizon, the Apple iPhone, has been a strong seller for the largest wireless network already. This was expected as it ended the long held idea that AT&T would be the only company to carry the popular smart phones. However, AT&T has been dealing with a lot of issues of late and that means they are falling in the ranks faster than they would have ever imagine and they also reported a massive hit with the loss of the exclusive iPhone rights.
For years Apple was well known for allowing just a single carrier to handle their products. When the iPhone was first released there was a massive push to crack the device to allow it to move to other networks but the lawyers at Apple soon put a stop to that, making it impossible for the smart phones to be moved to other carriers.
But the US started to lose interest in AT&T. The network had some massive problems, creating an issue that would unravel their hold on the Apple lovers in the US. Many started to realize that AT&T was the leader in dropped calls, poor service areas, and a host of other issues that would plague them through the later years.
Now Verizon is hoping that they can pick up the slack where AT&T left off. They have already reported massive sales of the popular smart phones just a few days after launch and the pre-sales were the strongest for any product that Verizon has offered.
But Verizon will need to maintain their grip through top of the line service and good prices. They have already announced some changes that are not pleasing to some customers, such as the end of New Every Two, which prevents customers from receiving a new phone every two years.
